Hours to Burn is a personal site. I write about cigars as a hobby, from my own experience, for people who enjoy them now and then. This page says the few things worth saying plainly: what the site is, what it isn't, and the terms for using it.

Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind, medical, legal, or financial, and reading it doesn't create any professional relationship between us. Cigars and your health

Cigars are tobacco, and tobacco carries real health risks. Cigar smoking is linked to cancer, heart disease, and other serious harm, whether or not you inhale. Nothing on this site claims that any cigar is safe, healthy, or a safer choice than any other tobacco product. I write about enjoying one in moderation, as an occasional thing, and that is not the same as saying they are good for you. They are not.

For adults only

This site is meant for adults of legal smoking age, which is 21 and older in the United States. Nothing here is meant to encourage anyone, least of all anyone underage, to start using tobacco. If you don't already smoke, the honest advice is don't start.

If and when I do, I will disclose it plainly, here and on the page itself, and a commission will never decide what I recommend. For now the gear links are just recommendations I do not earn from.
